This began with Figure, later known as Justin Morgan who was foaled in 1789 in Randolph, Vermont. Figure was a different kind of horse, a Morgan, which started the Morgan breed.

The Morgan is used nearly always for just a riding horse or a harness horse.

The Morgan is well-known for its stamina and bold personality.

Some of the Morgan’s notable features include: Well pronounced withers, an arched neck, and a clean-cut head with large eyes.
