Lipizzan’s usually have long slender heads and usually measure up to about 14.2-15.2 hands. They have an arched, yet sturdy strong neck and broad withers.

Their muscles are strong with broad joints and well-defined tendons. Their feet tend to be small but they are quite strong.

These unique horses are usually born bay or black and each year they go through “the graying process” in which they turn a lighter shade until about around 5-6 years of age they are completely white.

These horses have stared in books, TV shows, and movies.

Here are some more interesting facts about these horses:

·         On the Slovenian euro you will see two Lipizzan horses. 

·         Lipizzans are truly not a white colored horse.

·         The ancestors of Lipizzan horses can be traced back to A.D. 800.
