A lot of kids want their own horse. You may not own a horse and lessons and horseback riding can be a very expensive hobby. Here are some horse activities for kids to get your kids involved with horses without breaking the bank.
1. Horseback Riding Lessons – Call around. The difference in cost is huge depending on the kind of place that you are planning to let your kids take horse back riding lessons.
2. Kids Horse Camp – Find a kids horse camp in the summer. This is usually a day camp where your kids can learn to ride a quarter horse and care for horses. While more expensive than five days of lessons, it is much more reasonable than 16 weeks of lessons.
3. Trail Riding – If you have a bit of experience, you may have some local places to go trail riding in your area.
4. Horse Show - Look for horse shows in your area and attend.
5. Scholarships – Ask about price breaks for horseback riding lessons. Many of the places that offer lessons will let some people work off part or all of their lessons. Taking care of horses is a lot of work.
6. Start a horse blog and encourage your horse lover to write about horses and build a website or blog about them. This helps them with their interest in horses as well as improve their writing and research skills.
7. Let your kids start a neighborhood horse club. They can get groups of kids together for parties, watching horse movies, playing horse games, read books about horses and such.
8. Horse Activities for Kids - You can also do all kinds of horse crafts and activities for younger kids, although if they are getting older that might not interest them so much anymore.
These are just some of the ways you can help your kids get involved with horses without actually going out and buying one.

To make sure your horse is happy in their home they will need all of the essentials to be happy. Bedding is one main essential that a horse must have.
A horse doesn’t want to sleep on concrete or bare floor so it is important to cover the floor with a padding.
There are many types of suitable bedding.
Some people use straw which is popular and has been traditionaly used for the course of many years. Straw is easy to dispose of because it can be burnt unlike other types of beddings. Even though straw is the most common bedding used, it still has some disadvantages because it can cause an allergic reaction to the horse.
Another type of bedding is wood shavings which provides a clean enviroment for the horse and will not be mistakenly eaten. Unfortunately, wood shavings are not easy to dispose of or transport when wet.
Also there may be some unwanted large amounts of wood in the wood shavings but should not cause a problem.

I really like the Arab Horse.
I like the Arab because it is one of the oldest and purest breeds. The Arab horse has striking features which no other breed can compare to. The horse has incredible grace which makes him a pleasure to ride.
The Arab horse has large eyes and small nostrils which give them a nice innocent look.
Though small in size, the Arab horse has incredible stamina which makes it a great endurance riding partner.
These unique horses have been around since 2,000-3,000 B.C. making them one of the oldest horses ever around……..
